About This Role:
3 Peaks Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a growing engineering and manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Production Manager for a key senior leadership appointment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader to take responsibility for a busy production operation of approximately 120 people, leading through Team Leaders and working closely with the Operations Director and wider senior management team. We’re looking for someone who enjoys being visible on the shop floor, developing people, improving performance and driving a strong culture around Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Continuous Improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
What you’ll be doing
Leading, coaching and developing Team Leaders and the wider production workforce
Managing day-to-day production performance in a busy manufacturing environment
Planning labour, resources, workflow and production priorities
Driving Health & Safety, quality and operational standards
Monitoring KPIs across productivity, labour efficiency, quality, waste and rework
Working closely with other departments
Identifying and resolving production bottlenecks, capacity constraints and skills gaps
Championing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement and root-cause problem solving
Developing frontline leadership capability and creating a high-performing production culture
Requirements:
Experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager or similar senior manufacturing leader
Experience leading sizeable production teams through Supervisors or Team Leaders
A strong background within engineering, electrical, mechanical, fabrication, assembly or related manufacturing
Strong production planning, capacity management and labour allocation experience
Excellent people leadership and performance management skills
A strong understanding of Health & Safety and quality within manufacturing
Experience using production KPIs and ERP/MRP systems to drive performance
