Key Responsibilities:

Embedded & Device Development

Develop and maintain software for telematics hardware devices
Implement reliable communication between devices and cloud systems
Debug, optimise, and enhance embedded firmware

Cloud & Backend Development

Design and build scalable backend services
Develop APIs for secure device and application communication
Support real-time data processing and cloud integration

Frontend / Web Development

Build and maintain customer-facing dashboards and portals
Develop responsive interfaces for data visualisation
Collaborate on UI/UX improvements

Full Stack Integration

Support end-to-end system architecture
Troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, and cloud layers

Stakeholder Engagement

Work with hardware suppliers and technology partners
Engage with clients to support technical delivery and implementation

Requirements:

Essential Criteria

Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or similar
Minimum 3 years’ professional software development experience
Strong programming skills in C, C++, Python, or Ruby
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue, Django, Flask)
Full-stack development experience (frontend, backend, databases)
Experience with IoT, telematics, or connected devices
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Understanding of REST APIs, MQTT, TCP/IP
Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases

Desirable Skills

Experience in telematics, automotive, or industrial systems
Knowledge of GPS, CAN bus, or vehicle telemetry
Familiarity with Linux-based embedded systems
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Awareness of cybersecurity best practices
